The Arte a San Leonardo project stems from an idea by Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga and Ilaria Tronchetti Provera to bring together the history and identity of the San Leonardo estate with the languages of contemporary art and the artists’ gaze.

For a whole year, Arte a San Leonardo sees artists involved in different moments in the life of the estate, with the goal of establishing a dialogue between the artist’s research and elements that constitute the identify of San Leonardo: from nature to people, from the steps of winemaking to the landscape and agricultural life.

The path, which starts and ends symbolically at the beginning of spring and follows the seasonal winemaking cycle, covers different moments: residency, research, design, and production.

The result is the creation of a limited edition artist’s book and an artist’s label to adorn a limited run of San Leonardo bottles from the current year, designed around a different theme each year.
