the Territory

Tenuta San Leonardo is a small farming community on the hydrographical left of the river Adige. It lies halfway between the villages of Masi and Borghetto, in the heart of Vallagarina, the area that stretches from Castel Beseno, above Rovereto, south as far as Borghetto. The cluster of buildings, housing a tight-knit community bound by historic, cultural and economic ties, nestles in the southernmost corner of Trentino, where it borders on the province of Verona.

Since Roman times, the geographical location of the area has given it a crucial role as a bridge between worlds and cultures. Even today, the territory offers a unique unity of landscape, and enjoys its own temperate local climate, thanks to the beneficial effect of the Ora del Garda wind. Here, the mountain ramparts of the Monti Lessini meet and interact with the Mediterranean world.
