San Leonardo 1991

Tasting Notes

Genuary 2010 - Fine Wine - 14.5/20
Medium-deep color, the presence of medicianl, herby notes on the nose, the palate however not quite living up to the nose's promise with concentratine beginning to weaken perceptibly. Good wine, still valid, but lacks the excitement of the 1993.

Harvest Report

Unfortunately, the months of June and July were particularly wet with rainfall reaching 307 millimetres. This was followed by a dry August with maximum temperatures in the second ten days spiking at 39 °C with an average of 33 °C. The first half of October, the month of the harvest, witnessed fully 145 millimetres of rain, which partially jeopardised the quality of the fruit.

Maturity Curve and Serving
